The SITA/IDEST Committee have agreed fees for Inspection, Approval and membership of IDEST. These are £325.00 (plus VAT) for the initial application and inspection of ONE Cylinder Test Technician.* and £80 (plus VAT) per year in order for the Test House to be retained on the IDEST Register. Re-inspections may involve extra fees. On acceptance, a Cylinder Test Technician will receive a Certificate of Competence and the Test Station will receive a Certificate of Approval for display on the premises. IDEST will carry out assessments of up to TWO other Cylinder Test Technicians to the standards required by UKAS and accepted by HSE, at a cost of £20 per Technician. Please use the enclosed Checklist to see if you have all the reqirements for Approval. If you then want to become “Approved” please fill in the form below and return it to the Administration Office with your cheque. Details of the checklist can also be found in the Centre Manual File which is available on request from IDEST.

I/We wish to apply for inspection/assessment as an “IDEST APPROVED” Test Station/Cylinder Test Technician for BREATHING GAS CYLINDER TESTING.
I/We understand that it is a condition of application that my/our premises, equipment and facilities will be inspected before approval can be considered. I/We further understand that the application fee is payable in full before the inspection can be carried out and that the fee is not returnable.
I/We enclose my/our cheque for the sum of three hundred and eighy one pounds eighty eighty pence £381.88 (incl VAT) made payable to “IDEST”. If my/our application/inspection is successful, I/we agreed to pay the sum of £80.00 plus VAT (£94.00) or whatever fee SITA/IDEST should set, each year including the first year, to remain on the IDEST register (Note. The Annual Fee is per Test Station, not per Technician).
